When an antique diamond ring went missing, the anxious owner had as suspect and knew she had to act fast.
Karen Woolley suspected that her three-month old cocker spaniel-cross pooch had eaten the 100-year-old diamond encrusted ring off a table in their home.
She used a metal detector and found the family heirloom inside her six month-old puppy Barney
Barney was taken to a vet and had an operation to remove the ring, which was big enough to have killed him.
"He was so tiny the ring could kill him as it passed through him," Ms Woolley told Metro newspaper in London.
